I was there for dinner with two friends. Everything was fresh and of incredible quality. The staff were attentive and stayed open late for us, and had a large range of sake! Don’t expect it to be the cheapest meal, but for the quality we received I was very happy.Favourites: market price yellowtail sashimi (they even upped the portion size for 3 of us), fried octopus, fried prawn, and clams in sake. Some food was already sold out so recommend getting there early.Negative reviews seem to be focused on lunch

This is a local restaurant that uses octopus, which is famous in Naoshima.Comments and ratings are divided, but below is my actual experience.First, five pairs were lining up and the waiting time was about 90 minutes.There are vacant seats in the store, but customers that include us are waiting outside.It's a midsummer day now, and it's 35 degrees.On the way in line, the staff came out and told us."The main dish is another four. I'm working alone."About the five groups that lined up behind, they went home disappointed.They were waiting for at least 30 minutes.I have seen many things, but it is disappointing that there is clearly a mistake in the operation of the shop and there is no consideration for the customers in line.To be honest, the food was not satisfying.I can't even know where octopus is in rice.We can see it by looking at the images.

Nice interior, but the food is quite expensive for its quality (we have ordered only available option: octopus rice which had almost no octopus in it). We couldn’t find any other option for dinner other than this place or a supermarket... wished we went to the supermarket. But if you just want to go for a drink, it should be quite fine.

I visited there on Sunday to eat octopus rice.It was written that it was open around 11:20, but actually it was a little later.I ordered at the entrance, and when I was called a number, it was a self-style system to get it.At the entrance, it was written something like "You will have time for handmade," but it really took time.It was the fifth set but I waited for 1 hour ...The bowl was a paper plate, and I had the impression that it would take an hour for this to be honest.Maybe this is an island time ...

Stopped by for an early lunch, an octopus rice dish was the only thing on the menu, so had high hopes for it. Was quite bland and largely forgettable.

I ate octopus rice, but half was white rice? It was not octopus rice. The food was good or bad and the serving time was late, and it was all a paper plate. Sorting and cleaning up are also self-service. The price for the quantity is too high. I do not recommend it.
